SFU Harvest Box

The SFU Harvest Box is a program for students, faculty and staff who want to purchase fresh, local, and quality produce at affordable prices.

For over a year the SFU Harvest Box Program has made eating vegetables and fruits more fun, convenient, meaningful and affordable. Thanks to your feedback, we are adapting the program to better suit everyone’s needs!

Beginning in April 2010, staff and students can choose between two different boxes:.

The Local Organic Box

  • All local, seasonal and organic produce!
  • Support local growers, local agricultural land and sustainable growing methods
  • Meet your maker by receiving farm profiles with each newsletter
  • Help to support your community and keep both boxes going!

Delivered on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

All produce is grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides but is not always certified organic. This non-certified product is often referred to as “natural” or “no spray.”

The Value Box

  • Conventionally grown and mainly imported produce
  • Designed to make eating fruits and veggies more affordable
  • Ideal for students and folks on a budget
  • Helps people save money!

Delivered on the last Thursday of the month.

Why not try both?

Many customers tell us they love the Harvest Box so much that they just can’t wait a whole month for their next one! By offering two different boxes, we’re now able to provide biweekly delivery. Become a customer of both boxes for convenient access to fresh fruits and veggies every two weeks!

BONUS!

The first 25 Local Organic Box customers for April receive a reusable SFU Local Food Project bag made out of recycled pop bottles ABSOLUTELY FREE!
