The Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland area is incredibly rich in food! We have excellent farm land, access to fisheries, and the Okanagan fruit producing heartland of the province. Check out the 100 Mile Diet map and Food Shed project here!

You can buy directly from farmers, shop at farmers markets, have food delivered to your door, eat a local food restaurants, or shop at your local super market, and there are many more ways to get local food! However, the closer you are to the farmer in physical distance and your relationship to them, the fresher your food will be and the more of your money will be going directly to that farmer, and the less distance your food will have to travel.

You can also travel directly to farms! Check out the self guided Circle Farm Tour and Farm Folk City Folk’s Incredible Edible Tours.
