SFU Harvest Box

The SFU Harvest Box is a program for students and SFU community members to purchase fresh, local, and high quality produce at affordable prices.

For over a year the SFU Harvest Box Program has made eating vegetables and fruits more fun, convenient, meaningful and affordable. Thanks to your feedback, we are adapting the program to better suit everyone’s needs!

The Harvest Box is…

  • Convenient — Get fresh and healthy produce delivered to campus twice a month.
  • Healthy — Increase the number of fresh fruits and veggies in your  diet.
  • Affordable — Save money by buying directly from farmers.
  • Responsible — Reduce food miles (and GHG emissions) by eating local produce whenever possible, reducing trips to the grocery store, and reducing plastic packaging.
  • Educational — Learn new things about preparing your food and learn about new fruits and vegetables.
  • Community Minded — Support BC farmers and your community.
  • An Adventure — You never know what you’re getting in your Harvest Box so every month you get to try some of your old favorites, such as carrots and potatoes, as well as some more unusual fruit and vegetables.  As one Harvest Box participant said, “It’s like Christmas!”

The Local Organic Box

The Value Box

  • Designed to make eating fruits and veggies more affordable
  • Geared towards students and folks on a budget
  • As local as possible, but imported stuff when it’s a good deal
  • Helps people save money!
